The winery:
Until the nineteenth century agricultural production Whirl cereal farm was Gorner, olives, orchards and vineyards. Between the years 1887 to 1896 the great-grandfather of the current winegrower, Antonio turned and Lloret, I had to deal with phylloxera (plague that came from the vineyards of France), which devastated all the vineyards of southern Europe and this property was no exception.
Lloret Antonio Giró i was not overcome and replanted all strains ill-fated to continue producing wines. Only by phylloxera (1887-1896) Spanish Civil War and (1936-1939) winemaking was interrupted.
