Monterrey
Monterrei is one of the five wine denominations of origin that exist in Galicia. The production area extends along the Támega river valley, with a surface area slightly less than 700 ha, distributed among the municipalities of Castrelo do Val, Monterrey, Oimbra and Verin. there are others 13.000 hectares that are also dedicated to the cultivation of the vine in this region, but they are excluded from the D.O itself.
