Elaboration
The grape clusters are received in a stainless steel hopper to be later destemmed (berry and broom separation) and then ground their berries. Contact with grape skin, pulp, Pips and wort are produced in stainless steel tanks during 14 hours approximately at an average temperature of 10 ºC. After this time, the must is separated from the solid parts and ferments separately at an average temperature of 16 ºC. After part of the fermentation, it is paralyzed by cold systems in order to maintain the natural sugars that give this wine one of its peculiarities.

Tasting notes: Semi-dry white diamond

Straw yellow in color with golden tones. The nose is slightly floral and notes of ripe fruit stand out.. In the mouth it is smooth and creamy.

The Winery

Bodegas Franco-Españolas was born in 1890 as the union between France and Spain on a peak in la Rioja, when the French came to the region trying to replace their vineyards devastated by the disease of phylloxera. It was the origin of the “fine wines of Rioja”.

All this led to Frederick Anglade Saurat, natural Bordeaux, to found in 1890 Bodegas Franco-Españolas. The first harvest, a year later, gives as a result the wines icon wine cellar: Diamond and Style of Burgundy. This came to be called Rioja Bordón in the years 50, and in 2017 was redesigned as a Staff.

Its privileged location, on the banks of the river Ebro, has made Bodegas Franco-Españolas witness of the history of Logroño. In the hands of the Family Eguizábal from 1984, is currently immersed in new projects and is a leader in the supply of leisure and culture of The Rioja with their varied proposals for wine tourism.
